Best of Consulting: “Wirtschaftswoche” honors Staufen AG with an award for its Operational-Excellence project at Skoda

With its workforce of around 7,000 employees, the manufacturer of trains, light rail vehicles, and locomotives not only develops and produces at its headquarters in Pilsen, Czech Republic, but now also operates factories and locations in Germany, Austria, Italy, Poland, and Finland. The challenge for Staufen’s operational excellence experts was to implement a company-wide optimization and integration of processes, leadership methods, and system landscapes that would ensure this expansion course would not be frustrated by silo thinking, process interruptions, or fragmented IT in the future.
