Business consulting firm Staufen AG is continuing to grow in terms of revenue and number of employees – On the path to growth

January 26, 2016 | Global news

With the financial year of 2015, Staufen AG continued its ongoing progress along the path to growth. For the first time in the company’s history, revenue climbed to around 50 million euros. Meanwhile, behind this success, there are 220 employees across three continents – an impressive 10 percent increase in the past year alone. “The previous financial year shows that the twenty-year-long success story of lean management will continue to be written, even in the age of Industry 4.0,” says Martin Haas, Executive Board member of Staufen AG. Thus, the optimisation of processes and management systems is and remains the indispensable foundation for the digitalisation of the economy. “In many of our projects, lean management, networking and digitalisation therefore already go successfully hand in hand,” according to Staufen’s Executive Board member, Haas. This also applies to the international Staufen projects: For example, the Brazilian daughter company was able to expand its business volume by around 50 percent in 2015, despite the economically difficult situation of the largest national economy of South America. In addition, even in China, where Staufen is represented by branches in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shenyang, the signs are pointing towards expansion. With the expansion of the management board at the start of the New Year with the experienced China expert, Tobias Monden, Staufen is now positioned more powerfully than ever in the Middle Kingdom. For Staufen AG, what is just as important as financial success is also always the lasting appreciation from their customers. Staufen’s philosophy was also impressively confirmed in 2015 when it was nominated the best lean management consultancy in Germany by the renowned industry survey “Hidden Champions”. And by the renewed distinction as one of the leading consulting companies for the machine and plant construction sector as well as the vehicle and supply industry as part of the “brand-eins” study, “best consultants”. Furthermore, the Great Place to Work® Institute once again nominated Staufen as one of „Germany’s Best Employers“according to a study. In order to be able to give something back from this experienced appreciation, Staufen AG has awarded the innovation prize in GERMAN INDUSTRY for the first time last year. “Companies nowadays have to deal with how disruptive innovations can turn their market upside down. It is necessary to keep an eye on such developments, even if they still initially seem so unrealistic and unsuitable,” says Staufen’s Executive Board member, Haas, addressing in particular the SMEs. Good evidence for the fact that it is worth looking beyond what it right under your nose is the development of the virtual Shop Floor Management tool ValueStreamer®. Together with CAS Software AG, Staufen AG has thus brought traditional Shop Floor Management into the Digital Age. The ValueStreamer® starts being useful at exactly the point where Shop Floor Management that is reliant on paper reaches its limits: as a simple and efficient control tool for processes overreaching location and value stream, as well as global project portfolios.
